To anyone seeking a property management company in San Antonio

When my wife (an Air Force civilian) received an overseas assignment to Japan, she and I decided to put our house in San Antonio up for lease rather than attempt to sell it. We wanted to return to it at some future date. That was in 2007 and we retained the services of a different property management company in San Antonio.

Almost from the start we began to experience problems with that property management company. The specifics are hard to list but suffice it to say that, as the first two or three months progressed we both became increasingly unhappy with that company.

At that time, one of my wife’s work associates at Randolph Air Force Base recommended Pyramis Company to her. At the time we were already living in Japan and we contacted Pyramis Company from there, both by telephone and e-mail. We expressed our concerns about the other company and they agreed to take over the management of our property. We terminated the first company and hired Pyramis and were pleased with Pyramis’ performance from the start.

That was seven years ago. We continued the relationship with Pyramis, a company we had hired at a distance, to who’s offices we had never been and none of who’s people we had ever met in person. The relationship continued until we did, finally, move back to San Antonio this month.

Pyramis Company did an excellent job of managing our property on our behalf for the entire seven-year period we were gone. They leased the property at a price that exceeded our mortgage even after management fees were deducted. They did a first rate job of marketing our house, not only from the start but each time a tenant left. It was never vacant for long. In addition, Pyramis oversaw several improvement renovations on our behalf made between tenants, none of which we ever saw personally until our return. They sent photos and descriptions and put us in direct contact with the contractors. In each case the work done was of excellent quality and, when we finally returned, we were very pleased.

I cannot endorse Pyramis Company too highly. They are a first rate firm and their people do an excellent job. If you need a company to manage your rental property in or near San Antonio you cannot go wrong by using them.
